THREE LOCHS – Enjoy a flavour of The Scottish Highlands; dramatic scenery and breathtaking views where our first stop of the day is to the heritage village of Luss. Nestling within the shadow of Ben Lomond, a stroll along its “Bonnie Bankls” is highly recommended. Witnessing beautiful lochs and glens, as well as places of historical interest, our trip takes us over Argyll’s more mountainous roads. Passing through the village of Arrochar, climb the “Rest and Be Thankful” road, descending it’s far side to the renowned Loch Fyne Oyster Bar. Onwards to the Royal Burgh of Inveraray, where a visit to it’s fine baronial Castle and Woolen Mill are firm favourites. Our return journey (time permitting) shall take us by way of Loch Lomond’s northern shore through the Highland villages of Tyndrum and Crianlarich .

BRAVEHEART – Battle of Bannockburn was a famous victory for King Robert the Bruce against Edward’s English army in the year 1314. Stirling Castle is the regimental home of The Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders Museum and situated nearby The Church of the Holy Rude where Mary Queen of Scots worshiped and her infant son James was crowned Scotland’s King. The Wallace Monument overlooks over the site where of The Battle of Stirling Bridge took place in 1297 and as well as offering panoramic views of the Ochil Hills. Why not enjoy a wee dram at Perthshire’s Tullibardine Distillery or treat yourself to some of Scotland’s finest cuisine.

For lovers of art and history there’s the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery and Riverside Museum of Transport. The Victorian Botanical Gardens coupled with Glasgow University and the splendour of the buildings in Glasgow’s City Centre are all included, together with Glasgow Cathedral, and situated within the grounds Pollok Country Park is the art collection of Sir William and Constance Lady Burrell.
